Wekiva Invitational
Plein Air Paint Out

This event is the first of its kind in Central Florida. Come to the Wekiwa State Park in Apopka, FL during the week of March 3-8, 2008 to see invited artists paint En plein air.

You can watch your favorite artist paint during the day (Monday - Friday) and then purchase their art anytime during the event. (See Schedule)

This event will be held in conjunction with the 2008 Wekiva Riverfest, on Saturday with a Public Art Sale, Exhibits, Food Vendors, Live Music, Guided Hikes, Live Animals, Pontoon Boat Rides and Art Activities for the kids. Don't Miss It!

The proceeds from this event will be donated to the Friends of the Wekiva River, a non-profit organization working to preserve the beauty and natural functions of the Wekiva River and the Wekiva Wilderness Trust, Inc. a citizens support organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of the natural environment and promotion of nature related activities within the Wekiva River Basin.
